• Character Summary - The volatile daughter of an Ebou Dari shipowner, Asellia Salengari is the defiant leader of her own clique of novices an Accepted, despite the efforts of the Mistress of Novices to disperse them. Asellia is expected to develop a fair amount of strength in the One Power, but many sisters despair of teaching her the proper comportment of an Aes Sedai. Aloris Cadrille of the Blue Ajah has taken in an interest in her training as an Accepted, perhaps in recognition of her nascent leadership abilities.

• Character Description - A slim hipped and plain faced young woman, Asellia Salengari nonetheless has some innate ability to draw the eye and she radiates suasion and sense. Olive-skinned and black-eyed, the Altaran born Asellia wears her black hair clipped short around her collar. She is dressed in the simple white habit of an Accepted, banded by seven stripes at cuff and hem, and belted by a span of embossed leather. Her purse and poniard are hung from the belt, and she wears soft boots of bleached doe-skin on her feet. Closely watched by her envious fellow students, she has been marked for her potential by the Blue Ajah.
