• Character Summary - An intelligent Ghealdin woman, Daicey is an amibtious, tightly driven Accepted with a vast potential, yet she is also completely closed to differing ways of thought. Eilande Fioeneven of the Red Ajah has taken her on as a protégé as means of broadening her mind, even if she is obsessed with being Red. she serves as Eilande's secretary and travelling companion, and tends her nets of informants in her absence.

• Character Description - Slim and saturnine, Daicey Maland speaks with the idiom of Ghealdan, and her pale skin and light eyes seem to match. Her hair is dark blonde, the color of sere autumn grasses, and worn long and gathered at the shoulder by a clip of red gold, pulled over her shoulder. Her dress is stark white wool, banded by seven stripes at hem and cuff, and she wears a cloak of fine brown wool. Daicey's light eyes seem ablaze with animus, and her hands are more often as not balled into fists. Daicey is known to favor the Red Ajah.

• Eilande Fioneiven: A Red Sister of Cairhien, born to poverty in the Cairhienin hill-town of Ibaswael o'er a hundred years ago, Eilande has trascended her lowly origins to become an elegant and poised Red sister. Eilande was cultivated by the Blue Ajah, particularly by Aloris Cadrille, when an Accepted, but she was moved by one of her rare Foretellings to petition the Reds upon her raising, adding additional tension between the two Ajah, for her reasons were never announced. Considered something of a renegade, Eilande is treated as something of a wayward daughter by the Red Ajah superiors, who try to keep her under-thumb. To avoid such, Eilande travels extensively and often without sanction. She has taken Dacey under wing as a protégé.
