Katherielle Dorasu
Prior to being raised, however, Katherielle had the rare chance to attend Aisa Harune, the last Aes Sedai to have seen the last fighting in the Hundred Years War, when the nation of Carralain was wrought from the remnants of the empire, serving as her secretary and nursemaid, giving her insight into the woman's thought processes and personality.
When she died suddenly of believed advanced age, Aisa Sedai left a legacy to the Brown Ajah, a trove of logs, diaries, letters and other first hand reports about the events of the War, which where, alas, stored in segments and cataloged in an unfathomable coded system that defied comprehension. As she lay dying, Aisa smeared in ink the words "be wary for the return" upon her desk with her finger tip. Many sought unlock the code, for the thought that Aisa had gained some insight into the Rebirth of the Dragon, but they were unable to do so and the records remained unreadable.
After her raising, Katherielle spent many months studying the cipher, when she in a flash of understanding, she used numbered tiles and a mirror and cracked the cipher, unlocking the repository of records. In the many years that followed, Katherielle made it her life's work to sort and compile all the information, as she rose in seniority and clout in the Brown Ajah, eventually being awarded a seat on the Council, becoming an amiable rival of the distinguished head of the Brown Council, Esme Kenerick, until her tragic death in a Tower-led campaign to subdue the False Dragon Ivain Tendes.
Katherielle Sedai sat on the Brown Council for nearly fifty years, and exerted great influence within her own Ajah, as well in the Tower at large, for she was regarded as the ultimate authority of the rise of Artur Hawkwing, Hundred Years War, and the Covenant of Ten Nations. All were topics that many believed held some relevance in the tumultuous era after the Aiel War. Aged enough to have come to the Tower nearly three hundred years ago, Katherielle was an eighteen year old Accepted when she had the rare chance to attend Aisa Harune, the last Aes Sedai to have seen the last fighting in the Hundred Years War, when the nation of Carralain was wrought from the remnants of the empire.
All that came to an abrupt end when she was reassembling the believed letters from Lady Ceriende Aldarath, a noblewoman in the retinue of Luthair Mondwin, who sailed with him on his mission of exploration and expansion. Katherielle immediately resigned her position, and took herself, her scrolls and books, and her warder Euron Astimides to Cantorin, the known point of embarkation for Luthair's 'Great Fleet.' There she dwelt among the Sea Folk, studying in buried vaults, for the next thirty-nine years, occasionally sending to Tar Valon for more high quality parchment or another pair of eyes, usually belonging to newly raised Brown sisters.
She returned to the Tower three years ago, in a round-bellied cog stuffed with chests of scrolls and palimpsests, the two junior Browns assigned to assist her, Mayam Menazo and Carise Narault, and a new novice from the Aithan a'Miere of potentially prodigious strength. It was noted, and remarked upon, that the novice, Gaelyn din Corai Silver Storm, was of the same clan as the two newly bonded gaidin of Katherielle's two aides, Jisan din Corai Black Eel and Jiral din Corai Nine Winds. In fact, they are her brothers. Sometime thereafter, Katherielle presented lengthy testimony to the Hall of the Tower, later Sealed to the Flame, prompting the Amyrlin to send five sisters each to Tanchico and Ebou Dar, with enough coin to purchase small fleets of scouting vessels to operate from each port.
