Character Summary - The elder of two sisters, Carenaeve was destined to inherit her father's brewery in Tremonsien, in the east of Cairhien. When the town was sacked and looted during the Aiel War, her father sent Carenaeve and her sister to live with relatives in Tar Valon, who act as factors for his business. In Tar Valon, the impetuous Carenaeve persuaded her sister to sneak onto the Tower grounds, where they were discovered and brought before the then Keeper of Chronicles, who for reasons of her own, decided the two should spent a month in the life of a novice. Before long, both discovered they could channel, although her sister ultimately refused her Accepted's testing thrice and was put out. Carenaeve is an adventurous sister, spending very little time in Tar Valon, preferring to travel. Confident and capable, she has the rare ability to "read" residues of past weavings. Cairhienin by birth, she is a masterful hand at politics, and indeed many quip she should have chosen Blue. Carenaeve is bonded to four warders.

Nationality - Cairhienin

Character Description - Tall for a Cairhienin, and with a narrow waist and full bosom, Carenaeve Osavien is certainly an attractive woman, even though she is more handsome than beautiful. Meranille's silky brown hair is worn loose in soft ringlets that spill about her shoulders, framing her pale face. A rarity for a Cairhienin, Carenaeve has green eyes, which sparkle with wit and good humour. She wears a riding dress in the Cairhienin aesthete, with a high neckline and bloused sleeves, all cut from dark charcoal silk, with a dainty trim of Cosille lace at her neck. Bright satin stripes in verdant green are arrayed across her bodice, from collarbone to waist, where a noble's stripes of rank would be. Heeled ridding boots in green leather add inches to her already impressive height, and matching gloves are tucked partially into her large purse. A long poniard, the hilt wrapped in silver wire, is set in the hollow of her waist, and a thick mantle of dark green velvet is thrown across her finery, with the White Flame of Tar Valon worked on the breast and largely on the back, set out against a disc of lighter green thread. Carenaeve wears a small emerald kesiera in the midst of her brow, dangling from a fine chain of electrum attached in her hair. Her ageless features combined with her elegant stature make for an eye-catching combination.

Associates:
- Pedris Masnobar:
The first of Carenaeve Sedai's warders, Pedris Gaidin is a well-travelled, genial man with a ready smile on his scared face and good humour. Alone of her four gaidin, Pedris is known to share Carenaeve's bed. He often travels in advance of his mistress to gather information, before returning to her side. He follows the Way of the Star.
- Mariq ibn Ramayaad:
Handsome and cultured, Mariq Gaidin is a distant cousin of the High Seat of House Ramayaad, a powerful house of Tarabon. Far from the line of succession, Mariq enrolled in the Warder Academy for a chance at a life of some distinction. Mariq is known to employ his charm and golden beauty to influence women at the behest of Carenaeve Sedai, who does so without jealousy. He follows the Way of the Blade.
- Tuan Santanes:
Tuan Gaidin was actually once a footpad in Tear, slick and devious, and able to learn much in secret. A foolhardy attempt to steal Carenaeve's purse earned him her attention, and she bonded him as alternative to sending to the Stone as a criminal. Now completely loyal to Carenaeve, Tuan uses his skills only when directed to.
- Imfar Tobaana:
An imposing Domani, Imfar Gaidin was once bonded to another, Leila Moreni, but she was killed under mysterious circumstances. Carenaeve induced him to allow himself to be bonded to her, after being directed to do so by her own Ajah, which was fearful that Imfar would try to follow Leila into death. With his copper skin, smoldering eyes and thick white hair, Imfar is still considered a desirable man, yet he and Carenaeve have a relationship best described as that of a father and daughter. He follows the Way of the Wind.
