Quite strong in the Power, she has just returned to Tar Valon after a lengthy turn on the governing council of the Tower-by-the-Sea in Illian where it is rumoured that she had taken Lord Elios Iason den Artemedes as a lover. She is a close partisan of Dareleine Nosaevin, and her ally, in her frequent icy conflicts with Suyen Teihan, the Head Clerk.

• Character Description - Lovely, and exceedingly tall, Berenielle Vinchova's very appearance calls to mind some golden-haired woman warrior from legend. Born to Kandori farmers over a century ago, Berenielle Sedai's hair is long and shining, like a spill of honey, and her face is an exquisite sculpture of classic features, bright green eyes and a lush, artfully turned mouth. Her figure is curvaceous and ripe as a courtesan's, and she has a robust good health that animates her very movements. Berenielle wears a dress cut from glistening pewter colored silk, with a high waist and divided skirts, belted by a sash of silvery brocade. The dress is worked in a delicate pattern of snowflakes on the sleeves and hems, and she wears a heavy necklace of flat opals and silver links across her bosom, with matching pieces at her ears. She wears boots of soft gray doeskin, with a matching belt around her waist, over the sash. A heavy cloak of white fur is worn over the dress, pinned by a large round broach in platinum and studded with moonstones.
