• Position - Aes Sedai of the Grey Ajah.
• Character Summary - A Grey Sister of Illian, she is regarded as a capable mediator; she was sister appointed to control the negotiations and settlement when the Tower-led expedition to quell Balim Nishara's incursion as a False Dragon came to an end. It was she who discovered Rosara Carlores of the Grey. Helina is believed to adminsiter the Grey's network of Eyes and Ears, and has Rosara serve as her aide.

• Character Description - A cool-eyed Illianer, Helina Sorolios has long, wavy black hair, so dark as to shine blue, which she wears in long ringlets down her back, held off her brow by a narrow band of silver braid. Her face is fine boned and haughty, and bears the unmistakable ageless countenance of an Aes Sedai. Dressed in exquisitely tailored silk, Helina looks able to dash off to a ball or promenade in her gown in the Illianer style. The dress is the blueish grey of stormy sea, and has a wide, square neckline, and high hems that reveal her silver-embroidered slippers. Swirling, leafy scrolls in thread-of-silver and studded with seed pearls flows down the bodice and then the center of the skirt in a widening triangle, with smaller band reaching behind at her waist and around the hems. She wears a cape of dark gray velvet, edged in white silken embroidery making out moons and stars pinned over one shoulder by a badge in beaten silver, displaying the Flame of Tar Valon silvery-grey nacre and moonstone. A long necklace of four narrow silver chains flatly apace on each side suspends a large black diamond, ringed with pearls just above her navel.

Raised in abject poverty in the central lands of Tear, Rosara came to Tar Valon illiterate and scarcely able to dress her own hair. She was discovered by Helina Sedai.
