-
Character Summary -
An excitable Altaran sister, Laiselle Orangari is a member of the Grey Ajah, although she is remarked to have red petticoats, if you take the meaning. Laiselle is one of Eilande Fioneiven's closest friends in the White Tower, and often uses her as a way of feeding information to the Grays and into the Tower beyond, as the Reds are strictly secretive
-
Affiliation - Red Ajah, White Tower
-
Nationality - Altaran
-
Character Description - An strapping Altaran, Laiselle Orangari's complexion is a smooth creamy tan, although her right cheek is marred by a slim, yet obvious scar, a pink line connecting the corner of her eye to her jaw. Her eyes are black, glittering like polished jet, and her dark hair is shorn to hang just at her collar. Large golden hoops swing at her ears, although upon closer inspection, the top of her right ear seems to have been sliced off. Her dress is silvery satin with a darker bodice of velvet, and a large oval exposes the tops of her breasts, trimmed with fresh white lace from Cosille. Although she does cleave to her national fashions by sewing the skirt up to reveal her ruffled petticoat, the exposed garment is white and cream, not red. On her hand she wears numerous rings of silver, some adorned with pearls and opals, but a glint of gold reveals her Great Serpent ring amid the others. A sash of silver satin is tied about her waist, and a curved knife, the hilt set with moonstones, is plainly visible. A mantle of charcoal-colored wool is draped across her shoulders, clasped by a brooch displaying the Flame of Tar Valon picked out in nacre amid gray pearls.

Eilande Fioneiven: A Red Sister of Cairhien, born to poverty in the Cairhienin hill-town of Ibaswael o'er a hundred years ago, Eilande has trascended her lowly origins to become an elegant and poised Red sister. Eilande was cultivated by the Blue Ajah, particularly by Aloris Cadrille, when an Accepted, but she was moved by one of her rare Foretellings to petition the Reds upon her raising, adding additional tension between the two Ajah, for her reasons were never announced. Considered something of a renegade, Eilande is treated as something of a wayward daughter by the Red Ajah superiors, who try to keep her under-thumb. To avoid such, Eilande travels extensively and often without sanction.
