• Character Summary - A pair of twin sisters, sixteen years of age, Meiram and Chanai are both novices of the White Tower, brought to the Tower by Miriana Tetsobar of the Green Ajah when she discovered them in Isarte's Hills in Arafel. Miriana has taken interest in their schooling. They are both blocked wilders, each unable to embrace the One Power outside the presence of the other.

• Miriana Tetsobar: A beautiful, tempestuous Altaran Green sister, Miriana is a devoteé to Rigan a'Vorhan, and was once her protégé. Miriana wears her gilt-handled knife at her waist at all times, and is too handy by half with it. Miriana was born to sailors near the coast of the Sea of Storms, and is known to have a rough tongue and salty vocabulary. Miriana is famed for her military mind, and has even taken command of a division of armed men during the recent wars between Andor and Cairhien, as the Tower backed Queen Ewelyne of Andor. She has three gaidin, and is seeking at last one more.
