Tezanya Vadanyar

• Full Name - Tezanya Isne Vadanyar Aes Sedai
• Position - Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah, former Sitter in the Hall of the Tower.
• Character Summary - Agêd and respected, Tezanya Vadanyar was a figure of utmost dignity and respect when she was called upon to resign her seat in the Hall of the Tower as the inaugural act of the then Amyrlin, Elsbedhe Bodwell. In retaliation, Tezanya Sedai slapped Elsbedhe, who had long envied Tezanya's ability with the Power since their time together as novices, before the assembled Hall. The Amyrlin then summarily exiled Tezanya, and she remained away from Tar Valon long into the reign of Elsbedhe's successor. During her exile, Tezanya journeyed to her native Saldaea, and made herself into a national heroine for her selfless service at the Blightborder. Upon her return to Tar Valon, she promptly took up the stewardship of the Tower's hospices and dispensaries. The Aes Sedai, however, are still unclear about the rationale for her return from her retirement. Tezanya has had an Accepted, Katrinka Tochiman, tasked to aide her and serve as her secretary by Jayne Abathrin, the First Weaver, although Tezanya suspects that she is nothing more than Jaynne's spy. During her exile, she was the recipient of missives and intelligence from Corasune Torsiev, a Yellow siate A well-respected Yellow sister, Arella Diomon is delighted to return to the land of her birth to serve at the Hall's direction in effecting the Concordat of Illian. Arella has taken it upon herself to attend to the hygiene and santitation of the Perfumed Quarter, espousing the belief that poor airs and rampant garbage foster illness. Arella is bonded to one gaidin, Michal Odenin. Arella has taken two protégés. Samanthe Beswell, a prudent and quiet Andoran lass, currently a novice and Asera Daine, a stunningly beautiful Mayener Accepted with a reputation for amorous dalliances.

• Character Description - Tall and slim, with bold predatory eyes like bits of polished jade, and thick mane of iron gray hair, Tezanya Vadanyar has the smooth cheeks and ageless countenance of an Aes Sedai. Her green eyes are canted, bracketing a nose that is bold and jutting, all above a wide, generous mouth. Her cheekbones are sharp enough to cut glass. Her hair is worn up, and gathered into a dainty net of silver, and a diaphanous white scarf is wound around her head. Tezanya wears a finely made dress of deep saffron silk, with a high waist and flowing sleeves, a dress many decades from fashion. Thorny vines and thistles are worked upon her bodice in thread of silver, and in bands along her hems and down her sleeves. Matching slippers reveal themselves beneath her hems. Around her narrow throat hangs a worthy piece of jewelry, gold and topazes, with matching arrays her ears. On her finger gleams brightly her Great Serpent ring. Tezanya wears her formal shawl, richly worked in vines and leaves, displaying the white Flame of Tar Valon set amidst a disc of warm golden-yellow in the center of her back and trimmed with long, silky fringe the color of ripe summer wheat. Tezanya is stately and impressive, and seems a woman well used to getting her way.

• Samanthe Beswell: A young milkmaid from Four Kings in Andor, Samanthe is a newly arrived novice whom Arella has taken a special interest in as she studies in the Tower.
• Asera Daine: A stunningly beautiful Mayener Accepted with a reputation for amorous dalliances, she has a great propensity for the Healing Talents, and such has caught the attention of the Yellow Ajah, who have set Arella toward cultivating her as a potential new sister.
• Naomi Meiyama: A young, refined Yellow Sister from Arafel, Naomi was reared in the Royal Palace in Shol Arbella, where her innate grace caught the eye of the royal shatayan who had her trained as a table-maid for the king and queen themselves. In time, she is beleived to have caught the eye of the king as well, and for that was sent off to Tar Valon at the directive of Queen Solanna. After arrival, Naomi was discovered her ability to learn to channel, and soon came under the tutelage of Arella Sedai as her protégè.
• Cersella Santanes: A Yellow Sister from Tear, Cersella Sedai is of an age with Arella, and they were virtually neck and neck during their studies and novices and during their time as Accepted, with Cersella being raised to a full sister only one day before Arella. Early on, they had a profound dislike for one another stemming from their inbred national rivalries, which often exploded into fisticuffs. Over the decades, though, they have become fast friends and confidantes.
• Michal Odenin: Arella's warder of twenty years, Michal Odenin was Ghealdanin-borne, and enrolled in the Warder Acedemy as a way of seeking his fortune in the world. Recruited and bonded by Arella upon the completion of his training, he has been her constant companion and right arm. He is an adherent of the Way of the Blade.
