• Character Summary - Tall and reed slender, Ajima is a Kandori Accepted whom Hazine Quoriff of the Red Ajah has taken on as a protégé, for reasons unknown. Ajima is the daughter of a seamstress, and spends hours doing intricate embroidery. She is believed to tend Hazine's network of informants when Hazine is at retreat.

• Character Description - Tall and lean, with a lofty brow and a piercing gaze, Aijima Marcasiev looks to be a woman of twenty and two years of age, and she looks like a proud Kandori every inch, taller than most women, tall as some men, with a fair complexion and smoldering brown eyes. Her dark hair is tugged back fiercely with a small clip of brass, spilling down her back. Aijima's dress is finely combed wool, soft and snowy white but for the seven bands of color on her cuffs and hems marking her as Accepted of the White Tower. A small sash of suede is tied loosely about her slim waist, hung with her pouch and knife. She wears no jewelry save her Great Serpent ring.

• Hazine Quoriff: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, Hazine Quoriff was born in Bandar Eban, the eldest of twelve. Her early life was one of sacrifice, as she was often forced to do without for the benefit of her younger siblings, as well as forced to assume a maternal role. During her rare free time, she used to slip off to the Terhana library, so peaceful compared to her boisterous house. In that famed hall of learning, Hazine encountered noted Brown sister Esme Kenerick, who noted Hazine's ability to channel, and whisked her off to Tar Valon for training. Hazine was very much Esme Sedai's protege, but when Esme was killed by a rogue male channeler on the eve of Hazine's raising, the Domani woman chose Red over Brown in a pique of fury, a decision that has given her cause for much regret over the many years that have passed. Hazine keeps a small cottage in one of the small towns at the feet of Tar Valon, preferring her solitude, often giving exceptional students special training there. She has taken Ajima on as a protégé.
