• Character Summary - A merry Illianer girl with a thick sing-song accent, Ionyse has earned the attention of Hazine Quoriff of the Red Ajah, who has taken an interest in her novice studies. It is believed that Ionyse has the Talent to see ta'veren.

• Character Description - A sweet faced, bright-eyed girl just shy of nineteen or so, with a dark complexion and a tumble of glossy black curls, held away from her face by a small clip on one temple, Ionyse Dantides speaks with the sing-song accent of an Illianer born. Her wide hazel eyes twinkle with mischief, and when she smiles, a dimple appears on her cheek. Like all another novices, Ionyse's dress is stark white, plainly cut, if finely made, with a simple belt of white and matching slippers.

• Hazine Quoriff: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, Hazine Quoriff was born in Bandar Eban, the eldest of twelve. Her early life was one of sacrifice, as she was often forced to do without for the benefit of her younger siblings, as well as forced to assume a maternal role. During her rare free time, she used to slip off to the Terhana library, so peaceful compared to her boisterous house. In that famed hall of learning, Hazine encountered noted Brown sister Esme Kenerick, who noted Hazine's ability to channel, and whisked her off to Tar Valon for training. Hazine was very much Esme Sedai's protege, but when Esme was killed by a rogue male channeler on the eve of Hazine's raising, the Domani woman chose Red over Brown in a pique of fury, a decision that has given her cause for much regret over the many years that have passed. Hazine keeps a small cottage in one of the small towns at the feet of Tar Valon, preferring her solitude, often giving exceptional students special training there. She has taken Ionyse on as a protégé.
