Tezanya Vadanyar: An extremely senior sister of the Yellow Ajah, Tezanya is infamous for being exiled by Elsbedhe Bodwell, the old Amyrlin, after she slapped her in full view of the Hall of the Tower in retaliation for Elsbedhe's inaugural act of unchairing her. She remained away from Tar Valon long into the reign of Elsbedhe's successor. During her exile, Tezanya journeyed to her native Saldaea, and made herself into a national heroine for her selfless service at the Blightborder. Upon her return to Tar Valon, she promptly took up the stewardship of the Tower's hospices and dispensaries. The Aes Sedai, however, are still unclear about the rationale for her return from her retirement.
