Perseinde Apeneos
-
Full Name - Perseinde Heria Apeneos
Aes Sedai
-
Position - Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah,
Sitter for the Blue in the Hall of the Tower.
-
Character Summary - Punctilious Blue of Illianer heritage, she has served many years as the Aes Sedai advisor to the Kings of Saldaea, and she set herself up in semi-retirement in Maradon upon the death of the last King of Saldaea, the current queen’s father. Her reasons for returning to Tar Valon are unknown. She is a moderately affective healer. Seeing the blithe and warm reception Roseana Sedai received upon her return to the Tower after a lengthy sojourn of exploits and missions from members of the Blue Ajah, Perseinde Sedai resigned her seat, and sponsored Althea as her successor. The political in-fighting between Perseinde and Roseana has laid bare a deep chasm amid the Blue Ajah, even as they do try to conceal such to outsiders. In time, Roseana left the Tower on a mysterious mission, and Perseinde reclaimed the seat she had held for years. Newly returned to the Hall, she clashes with Sielle Goravina, who believes that she should be the senior-most Blue Sitter.

Character Description - Rather short and quite dark, with a tanned complexion from southern suns, Perseinde Apeneos do be having the Illianer sing-song accent. She is not a particularly beautiful woman, but she does have gorgeous dark hair, thick and glossy, alive with warm highlight bleached by the sun, that she is fond of wearing in a series of impeccable ringlets down her back, held in place by a blue velvet fillet, and a row of identical curls across her brow. Her frame is spare and wiry, her neckbones quite apparent through her open collar. Her eyes are dark and intense, yet alive with intelligence and perception. Perseinde prefers dresses of her native Illian, with wide open necks, cut low, and skirts that stop jut shy of her ankles. Today, she wears a dress of blue-grey satin, with bands of blue on the skirts, and matching scroll-work down her sleeves and across her bodice, and with a sash of blue silk, behind which is tucked a knife. She wears a cape of blue wool fastened upon one shoulder like a chlamys. Her face is at once youthful and fresh, yet her presence and knowing eyes make it hard to give an age to her at all. She wears small tassels of seedpearls on her ears and a matching necklace in the Illianer style of flat stones linked by scrolling bits of gold. Her great serpent ring is bright on her finger against her dark skin.

-
Jarine Morwey: A girl originally from
Maerone, near Andor, but within no nation. Attentive and sly, she has a
habit of discovering things that the most believe are secret, and has a

in her training as a novice.
-

Merias was spirited from that oppressive city by agents of Perseinde when
it was learned she had the inborn spark. Currently a novice, Merias still
seems a trifle breathless from her escape. Perseinde has a maternal affection
for her.
-
Ceraine Nadora: A feral, clever Altaran
Accepted who is rather skilled at working with weather, her major field
of interest is the degree of literacy among the poorest of her native Rahad
in Ebou Dar. Ceraine is favored by Perseinde, and often serves as her secretary
and traveling companion.
-
Liawen Murannin: A tall, willowy red-headed woman, Liawen Muranin is the newest Sitter among the three for the Brown in the Hall. In the upper echelon of Aes Sedai potency, she is a capable sister, who has been known to travel far and wide at a moment's notice to investigate rumors of rare books and other precious scraps of information. Fascinated by Tel'an'rhiod, she is one of the foremost scholars on the subject in the Tower, and keeps watchful tabs on the novices for signs of that rare talent.

he speaks the Old Tongue fluently, and is a wealthy man in his own rights,
often putting his wealth at the disposal of his bondholder.
